Tasks of the Dean's Office

The general duties of the Dean's Office are the coordination of teaching, research and administration. This includes in detail:

  • Central business and information office of the faculty,
  • administration of budgetary funds (material funds, funds for teaching assignments, personnel funds),
  • lecture planning,
  • Provision of study information (study regulations, examination regulations, minor subject agreements),
  • structural, appointment and habilitation matters,
  • Supervision of the affairs of the most important central committees of the faculty (in particular: Faculty Council (FR), Commission for Teaching and Studies (LuSt), Budget Commission (HaSt)), Quality Improvement Commission (Quest),
  • Editing of the Faculty's regulations (in particular: Examination regulations, study regulations, minor subject agreements, doctoral regulations),
  • Issuance of certificates and diplomas.
