Cooperations and Partners

Erasmus+

The Erasmus+ program has been enabling and supporting student exchanges within Europe for over 30 years. The Department of Computer Science has partnerships with a total of 15 universities in 11 different European countries. Students and staff of our faculty can visit these partner universities for one or two semesters to gain valuable experience abroad. The application deadline is always at the end of January for the following winter and summer semester. You can find more information about the partners and application process here.

Overseas Exchange, Internships Abroad, Short-term Programs, Thesis

The Overseas Exchange Program is organized via the International Office  - the application deadline is October 30th (for stays from next year's winter semester onwards).

Internships Abroad are organized individually, but there are certain options for scholarships - the International Office provides more information. Planning internships should start at least six months before the planned stay.

Short-term Programs allow to gain international experience in shorter amounts of time - current programs and further information are offered by the International office.

It is also possible to write a thesis in combination with a stay abroad - this is only possible on an individual level. Firstly, one has to organize the supervision in Dortmund, which usually is strictly connected to options of international collaboration. The International office informs on scholarship options. Not that planning and especially applying for scholarships takes some time (at least 6-12 months).
